Summer Activities

From Spring to Autumn, the Vallouise valley, on the doorstep of the Ecrins National Park is a fabulous natural reserve of flowers and fauna. You will find an abundance of flowers on the paths leading to the glaciers, lakes, and forests of the mountains. You will also be able to observe the marmots and the chamois.
For those with a passion for photography, the Autumn is just bursting with colours.

The second centre of alpinism (Ailefroide) the valley of vallouise is a paradise for climbers and walkers from all over the world. There are over 100 routes, and 740km of walking paths at the foot of the Barre des Ecrins mountain (4102m).
The valley is also a natural place to participate in all the thrill sports such as paragliding, cannoning, rafting, via Ferrata, or forest sensations.
You can also participate in swimming, tennis, mountain biking, archery, horse riding: the list is endless.

With a very varied architectural and religious heritage dating from the X11 to the XV111 ages, the valley of Vallouise allows you to discover many churches and chapels with frescos, and a particularity of the region: the sun dials. It is an original way to discover the culture and past times of the valley.
